How to Prepare a Bone Model for FEA

This video shows you how to prepare a femur model for FEA, starting from an already segmented femur. First, the STL is remeshed so the triangles are more uniform. Then, a volumetric mesh is created based on the surface mesh. Lastly, some material properties are assigned to the mesh in Mimics.
Prerequisites
- Materialise Mimics
- Materialise 3-matic
- FEA module
Mimics 25.0 and 3-matic 17.0 were used for the creation of this video.
