Research Engineer

As a Research Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support the development of a new generation of medical image processing algorithms.

Are you looking for a challenging role where you develop and validate predictive models using state-of-the-art techniques such as deep learning based medical image processing methods? Do you enjoy working closely with internal stakeholders to understand the problem and to design solutions that meet their needs? Are you passionate about innovation in medical applications? Then our research engineer position might be suited for you!
What you will do
- Discuss project requirements with key stakeholders
- Analyze requirements to come up with a creative solution to solve the problem
- Conduct research and data analysis
- Implement, train, and optimize algorithms for patient-specific planning
- Validate algorithm performance, document project progress, and report the results to stakeholders
- Work with development teams to deploy algorithms
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in medical image processing
Your profile
- Applicants should have a Master’s degree in engineering (biomedical, mathematical, electrical, computer sciences) or its equivalent.
- You are passionate about innovation in medical applications and strongly interested in state-of-the-art technologies.
- You are an experienced Python programmer with knowledge of Tensorflow, PyTorch, or ONNX.
- You are result-oriented and a team player, driven to contribute to the success of our products by collaborating with colleagues from around the world.
- You are a born problem solver with strong analytical skills. You adapt easily to change and can work independently with a proactive yet critical mindset.
- In addition, you’re also fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
