Commercial Product Manager — Hip Solutions

As a Commercial Product Manager for Materialise hip solutions, you will be responsible for driving the success of the OrthoView and aMace products within the orthopaedic surgical field. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure the development and delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of orthopaedic surgeons and healthcare professionals. This role is key in defining the product roadmap, gathering customer insights, and ensuring the product remains competitive in the marketplace.

Materialise OrthoView is a leading digital preoperative planning and templating software designed specifically for orthopaedic surgeons. It enables precise planning of joint replacement, deformity correction, fracture management, and pediatric cases. Used worldwide, OrthoView supports efficient, accurate, and informed surgical decision-making, improving patient outcomes. Materialise aMace implant as a leading custom-made triflange implant solution for severe hip deformities. It enables patients and clinicians to break a revision cycle and bring high value to patients in need. On the EU market under MDR and with clinical evidence supporting the value of the solution, the solution is well placed to further build a better and healthier world.

What you will do

  • Product strategy and roadmap: develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with business goals, customer needs, and industry trends
  • Market research and customer insights: conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze competitive products to inform product development and positioning
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with engineering, UX/UI, and marketing teams to ensure timely and successful product launches and updates
  • Customer engagement: collaborate with customers, including orthopaedic surgeons and clinical teams, to understand their pain points and translate their needs into actionable product features
  • Product lifecycle management: manage the product lifecycle from ideation to release, ensuring continuous improvement based on user feedback and market demands
  • Sales support and training: provide support to sales teams by creating product presentations, training materials, and other resources that help communicate the value proposition of OrthoView and aMace.

Your profile

  • Experience: around 5 years of experience in product management, ideally in medical device, software or healthcare technology; experience in orthopaedics or surgical planning tools is a plus
  • Education: master's degree in a related field, such as biomedical engineering, product management, or healthcare IT
  • Technical skills: the notion of software development processes and medical technology, plus familiarity with PACS, DICOM, and orthopaedic templating is advantageous
  • Communication skills: excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into value propositions for a diverse audience
  • Customer focus: a deep understanding of the needs of orthopaedic surgeons and the ability to work closely with customers to improve the user experience
  • Problem-solving: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions
  • Team player: the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals
