Internships

An internship gives you the chance to put into practice what you learned in lectures and seminars. This is a real-world, practical business experience linked to your course of study. Many of our interns have become full-time employees. After you successfully complete an internship with us, you will be our first choice for future job opportunities.

Types of internships

Students who do internships with us get meaningful work experience in an exciting business environment. We’ll make sure that you have a positive learning experience while you’re with us. Materialise offers three types of internships: sales and support, engineering, and staff.

Sales and support

Depending on your skills, you could do an internship in a sales department for one of our business units (Medical, Manufacturing, or Software). This type of internship typically involves various commercial and administrative tasks to support the sales team or even trainee roles such as a sales engineer or customer support officer.

We have opportunities for engineering students of diverse backgrounds; our customers are in various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, medical, research, and academia. Depending on your engineering background, you will be in one of our engineering departments (Medical, Manufacturing, or Software).

Staff

As a large organization, we have internship opportunities in our Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Legal departments.

Requirements

  • Internships in Belgium need to be arranged through your educational institute because it needs to be connected to your university credits
