Meaningful Innovations in Personalized Care: Combining 3D Planning, Computer-Aided Design, Additive Manufacturing, and Mixed Reality

ウェビナーについて

The Mimics Innovation Awards celebrate the most meaningful innovations in personalized care and open our minds to new and previously unimaginable possibilities. Winner Dr. Masahide Koyachi combines various intra-operative technologies such as surgical guides and mixed reality to transfer virtual surgical plans to patients for his research. He applies these technologies in cranio-maxillofacial surgery.

The winning research paper describes the validation of the accuracy and reproducibility of these surgical planning and transfer technologies for maxilla repositioning surgery (Le Fort 1). It demonstrates the strong performance of state-of-the-art 3D technologies, including the current and future potential for mixed reality, and thereby contributes to the expansion of personalized care in craniomaxillofacial surgery.
